On behalf of the people of Kasese, I warmly welcome you to our district—a land of immense beauty, opportunity, and resilience.

Kasese is uniquely endowed with some of the most favorable weather conditions and geographical features in the world. We are blessed with natural resources such as copper, cobalt, limestone, lakes, rivers, and the majestic Rwenzori Mountains. Our evergreen vegetation, which flourishes throughout the year, makes Kasese and the entire Rwenzori region a true marvel of nature.

Beyond its natural wealth, Kasese is home to a vibrant and diverse population. The Bakonzo, who form the majority, live across both the highlands and lowlands alongside other proud communities including the Basongora, Banyabindi, Batoro, Banyankole, Bakiga, Baganda, Bateso, and Acholi. This diversity is our strength, fostering unity, cultural richness, and shared progress.
