Micro Scale Irrigation Program- UGIFT.

OWC info coming soon

We are currently running micro irrigation Program with support from World bank World Bank through the Uganda Intergovernmental Fiscal Transfers (UgIFT) reform program. The Micro-scale Irrigation
Program is designed within this context and in line with Government of Uganda’s National Development Plan (NDP), the National Irrigation Policy, and the Vision 2040, all of which
promote the development of irrigation technologies.

Under this Program, we support smallholder farmers to purchase and use micro irrigation equipment. Government is subsidizing purchase of irrigation equipment (between 25% and 75% depending on choice of power source) with a maximum contribution (value cap) of UgX7.2 million acre per farmer. The irrigation technologies shall be provided to farmers from the pre-qualified irrigation equipment suppliers who shall be expected to design, supply, install and train the beneficiaries on the operation, maintenance and management of the equipment.
