The Human Resource Management function of Kasese District Local Government is responsible for the effective planning, recruitment, development, deployment, and management of human resources in line with the Constitution of the Republic of Uganda, Public Service Standing Orders, and other relevant laws and regulations.
Kasese District Local Government has a total of 5,397 active employees, deployed across departments, sections, lower local governments, and service delivery units. Most departments and sections are headed by substantive officers, with the exception of the Works Department, which is under acting leadership.
In addition, the District manages the welfare and records of 1,097 pensioners, ensuring timely processing of pension and gratuity benefits.

Kasese District Local Government has 77 Councilors who provide legislative oversight and representation at district level.
The District also works in close collaboration with Central Government representatives, including the Resident District Commissioner (RDC)’s Office, which oversees government programs and security coordination.
