Kasese District Local Government operates through established statutory bodies in accordance with the Constitution of the Republic of Uganda, the Local Governments Act (Cap 243), and other relevant laws. These bodies provide governance, oversight, representation, and accountability to ensure effective service delivery and democratic administration within the District.
All statutory bodies and committees are functional and duly constituted.
The District Council
The District Council is the highest political and legislative organ of Kasese District Local Government. It is responsible for making district ordinances, approving plans and budgets, providing oversight over the Executive, and representing the interests of the people of Kasese District.
