Kasese district
is connected to the national power grid and has two hydro electricity
power dams located at Mubuku II for Kilembe Mines and Mubuku III
for Kasese Cobalt Company.
The district is connected with electricity in most prominent trading
centres and towns like in Katwe, Bwera and Hima. It has an excellent
road infrastructure with tarmac roads linking it to Kabarole and
Bushenyi districts and murram roads linking the urban areas to the
rural areas.
Kasese district
is also linked by the railway and it marks the end of the Western
railway line. It has an airstrip which facilitates quick access
to the rest of the country. Hence the district can be accessed by
water, road, rail and air transport.
Kasese district
is also connected to the national telecommunications infrastructure
and enjoys the services of uganda telecom (Mango), MTN, and Celtel.
It also has rural and commercial banking facilities including credit
and savings schemes and cooperative societies
